Wishing you 12 montis of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of fun,
8760 hours of joy, 525600 minutes of good luck and 31836000 seconds of
happiness.
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by
dogma which is living withthe results of other people's thinking. Don't ot tho noise of
father’s apinians crown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage
{o follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to
‘become. Everything alse is sacondary.”— Steve Jobs
‘The start of a new year brings the feeling that anything is possible
doesn't it? We love resolutions because they give us a sense that we can
start over again and do It “right” this time. Although I don’t know many
resolutions that stick..do you? Read the above to quotes again. Our time is
limited. How much of it do we waste trying to live up to the standards of the
world? How much time do we waste trying to get the next new thing, trying
to lose the last 10, 15, 20 pounds, trying to keep up with the “Jonses"? We
have this ideal of what our lives should be like in our heads. The Ideal is
something that the world bombards us with and we run the rat race trying to
reach it,
What bums me out is how much of life I miss, or simply don’t
appreciate, because I'm too busy feeling bad for myself because I haven't
lived up to the ideal Ife I've created in my head. What I know in my heart,
that Jesus loves me unconditionally, that my life is pretty darn good, isn’t
always reflected in my head and actions. Why is that? If I sit and take
inventory of where I am in my life there isn’t anything I need to make me
happy... have it all..truly. What do you find if you sit down and honestly
think about all the blessings you have? How much time Is wasted living up
to the world’s Ideals and not believing in what Jesus says?
My New Year prayer for us is that we find time to slow down. Truly
find time to enjoy family, friends, and the blessings that surround is, I know
some people are having @ Lough ime in life for varluus reasons, but even
during the tough times we can find reasons to be grateful. Our focus truly
determines our reality, and I don’t want to spend so much time focusing on
what I don’t have and instead focusing on what I do have. I want to learn to
appreciate the blessings I have so when the valleys and tough times come T
remember how I've been blessed in the past and that I'm never alone in the
dark times. Sounds Ike a resolution T can get behind...how about you?lovember 12, 2017,
