RE: $200,000 Grant to the New Horizons Village Society

In March 2017 the Ministry of Community Sport and Cultural Development (now the Ministry of
Municipal Affairs and Housing) provided the New Horizons Village Society with a grant of $200,000.

The grant was provided in response to a request made to the Province by the Society for financial
assistance to undertake a feasibility analysis, including preparation of a business plan, to build a
community centre for the Fraser Valley and Surrey.

The Ministry has recently understood, from information attributed to the Society through media, that
no funds have been expended to advance the project. Could the ministry please receive a status
update?
