JOB REPSONSBILITIES: PHARMACIST

A duly licensed pharmacist with strong technical, training, and communication skills.
The Pharmacist is in charge of the pharmaceutical side of store operations, especially dispensing, and
promotion of generics, including the management of the sales personnel, during the shift and within the
store where he or she is assigned.

Work responsibilities:
1) Dispensing and Customer Service
a. Prepare and dispense medicines and other items available at the store customers
in accordance with prescriptions rules set by the Company.
b. Do compounding of galenical drugs as required.
c. Provide drug information and patient counseling to customers regarding their
medication needs.
d. Provide approachable, friendly, and professional services.
e. Monitor customer feedbacks regarding drugs sold, and consolidate his own
observation to make recommendations to HO regarding drugs quality, especially
regarding generic drugs.

2) Manage the sales personnel (SA/PA) of the shift:


a. Manage their sales performance.
i. Provide assistance to the store personnel involved in distributing
medicines.
ii. Enhance their technical knowledge through counseling and/or trainings.
iii. Monitor, enhance, and give feedback to sales personnel’s attitude and
quality of service rendered to customers (friendliness, effectively of
service, competence in dealing with customers)
iv. Inform staff regarding arrival of new stocks as to indication, format,
and supplier.
b. Manage sales employees in day to functions, especially displaying, cleaning of
shelves, replenishment of shelves
c. Perform HRD functions associated to supervision of sales personnel, scheduling,
preparation of evaluations and simple HRD concerns of questions.
d. Motivate SA/PA to perform better.

3) Ensure day to day store supervision functions:


a. Opening and closing procedures. Custody of keys (as needed). Avoid any late
opening
b. Ensure the necessary staffing of the store all times.
c. Ensure the legal compliance of the store to pharmaceutical rulings ( compliance
to rulings, checking of all entries made in the prescription book, other
requirements)
d. Inventory and display
i. Supervise the display. Make sure that stocks are well organized
and displayed.
ii. Disbursement of medicine according to expiry date. Monitoring
of drugs close in expiry.
iii. Supervise inventory counts as needed.
e. Reports cash security.
i. Submit necessary sales, cash, inventory, H.R.D. reports to Head
office.
ii. Implement the cash deposit and cash security procedures.
f. Store repairs, store maintenance, cleanliness needs for store improvements,
coordination of repairs to be made, maintenance of computers, pest control, and
air conditioning.
