This liquid hand soap demonstrates the excellent suspending properties achieved using Carbopol®* Ultrez 20 Polymer.

Procedure:
1. Disperse Carbopol®* Ultrez 20 Polymer by sprinkling on the surface of warm (~40°C)
deionized water. After polymer has wetted, mix slowly for 10 minutes. CL-H0006
2. With minimal agitation to avoid excessive air entrapment, add the glycerin, Sulfochem™* (HIT-410B)
EA-3 Surfactant, and disodium EDTA.

3. In a separate vessel, premix the propylene glycol and the triclosan. Add the mixture. Previous Editions: 11/2/2007, 10/12/2005, Aug. 1998
4. Continue agitation and add DMDM hydantoin, Chembetaine™* C Surfactant and
Chemccinate™* DSLS Surfactant.
5. Adjust pH with Triethanolamine to 5.5 – 6.0.
6. Add the mineral oil beads with reduced agitation to avoid breaking the beads.
