Podemos usar dos o más adjetivos juntos.

Ejemplos:

Wh questions

Podemos formular "wh questions" de una manera simple siguiendo las siguientes formulas:

"Wh word" + el verbo "to be" + pronombre:

 What is this? = ¿Qué es esto?

 Where is he/she? = ¿Dónde está él/ella?
 When is it? = ¿Cuándo es eso?
 What are they? = ¿Qué son ellos?

"Wh word" + el verbo "to be" + artículo demostrativo:

 What is that? = ¿Qué es eso?

 Where is this? = ¿Dónde queda esto?
 When is this? = ¿Cuándo es esto?
 Where are we? = ¿Dónde estamos?

De igual manera, podemos componer la respuesta a estas preguntas siguiendo las siguientes
formulas:

Ejemplos:

 What is it? = This is a tablet.

 Where is he/she? = He is at school.
 When is it? = It is in December.
  What are they? = They are students.

Ejemplos:

 What is that? = That is a car.

 Where is this? = This is in the City Center.
 When is this? = This is next Friday.
 Where are we? = We are at the park.

Por lo general las "wh questions" se usan para hacer preguntas rápidas cuando queremos
obtener información de alguien o algún lugar. Pero también podemos usar las "wh
words" para hacer preguntas más elaboradas. Por ejemplo:

 What is the account number? = ¿Cuál es el número de la cuenta?

 What are the items listed? = ¿Cuáles son los ítems listados?
 What was the amount last month? = ¿Cuál fue la cifra el mes pasado?

 When is this payment due? = ¿Cuándo se vence este pago?

 When are they paying? = ¿Cuándo van a pagar?
 When was your bill due? = ¿Cuándo se venció tu recibo?

 Where is this place? = ¿Dónde queda este sitio?

 Where are the envelopes? = ¿Dónde están los sobres?
 Where was the calculator? = ¿Dónde estaba la calculadora?

STRUCTURE

WH questions in simple present use “do” or “be”:

WH Questions with "do"

WH + DO/DOES + SUBJECT + VERB

Examples:

WH Questions with "be"

WH + BE + SUBJECT

* Where are you from?
* Who is that man?
* When is your class?

WH Questions are similar to YES/NO questions, but they have

WH words at the start.
