I. Introduction
Analyzing hardware especially in IC manufacturing industry is a very important process. It requires
various knowledge about circuits and how they are designed, manufactured and tested.

Deducing the functionality from imaging their structure is one of the interesting properties of an
Integrated Circuit or what we call IC. This is known as chip engineering process. It is a process by
which the IC is examined in order to gain a full understanding of its construction and/or functionality
(Quadir et. al., 2015). It is widely used to disassemble systems and and devices in a number of
different contexts such as industrial design, cloning, duplicatiin, and reproduction (McLoughlin,
2008). It can be done with the aid of appropriate microscopes. Once these images are extracted, if the
target is too complicated, images can be simulated using custom tools. If not, the relevant portions
can be manually turned back into the abstract. With the aid of different design softwares, this task
becomes easier to execute given also the skills and expertise of the person performing the task.

In chip reverse engineering, the person working on it should know what components are being
studied. In this case, resistors and MOSFETs were used. Connections were traced using the provided
layers of metals that have the copper connections. Then, the circuit was analyzed. In this particular
blocks of circuit system. Our group will try to reverse engineer one of these blocks and try to analyze
how the circuit operates and functions.
