GPS is made up of three parts: between 24 and 32 satellites orbiting the Earth, four
control and monitoring stations on Earth, and the GPS receivers owned by users. GPS
satellites broadcast signals from space that are used by GPS receivers to provide three-
dimensional location (latitude, longitude, and altitude) plus the time.
In this paper we are going to design a border alert system to fisherman’s to avoid them to
enter into the other country border. If they crossed the border the mentioned border’s GPS value
is readied by the controller and sends an alert message to them to avoid further movement.
Drawbacks: Advantage:
Low accuracy Highly reliable
This system is not suitable for long Much Useful for fishermen’s
distance. Low cost
Proposed System
In this system the border alert is done by getting the latitude and longitude value of
region and comparing with the border’s GPS value using GPS modem. Here the GPS is
interfaced with the controller. The GPS value of the border region is stored in controller and the
ship will keeps moving on. The GPS receiver reads the value in its moving path and when the
ship reaches the border the stored value and current value with meet and in turn the controller
sends an alert message to the fishermen’s number to avoid further movement into the other
country region. The GPS value is displayed in LCD.
