You will be constructing and maintaining two shrines, one for Pluto (Hades) and one
for Mars (Ares). These two energies are both ruled by your dominant astrological sign,
Scorpio. Pluto is passive or receptive energy (feminine/dark/lunar) and Mars is
passionate and active (masculine/bright/solar) . The shadow and the fire are your
elements; you are fostering their development internally when you worship these
deities externally. This is the principle of of invocation(calling forth, inner journey)
and evocation(inviting long term possession, outter life). Although they seem
somewhat unrelated in their characteristics, the two gods share the same sphere of
influence known as Scorpio so you have both characteristics and can connect with
both equally. These gods are the “new gods” and can be approached more readily
than their fathers, who are the “old” chaos gods such as Saturnus.
