ENTRANCE TEST FOR MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH AFPI MOHALI

1. On line applications are invited for the Written test to be conducted for filling up the
seats in Course Session Ser 08, (2018-20) of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Mohali as per details
given below :-

Eligible applicants may personally submit online application starting from 01 Dec 2017
to 27 Dec 2017 in the prescribed online format available at http://recruitment-portal.in

Date of birth - Not before 02 Jul 2001

Boys from Punjab Studying in 10th class.

Examination Fees – Rs 500/- (Five hundred only)

Date of examination : 14 Jan 2018

2. Approx No of Seats - 48 may be increased or decreased depending upon intake.

3. The Centres for examination are Mohali, Jalandhar, Khadoor Sahib (Tarn Taran) and
Fatehgarh Sahib. The Centre may be added/cancelled depending upon the No of candidates
available.

4. Candidates who clear the examination for admission to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Armed
Forces Preparatory Institute, are also eligible for admission to Nishan-E-Sikhi Preparatory
Institute, Khadoor Sahib (Tarn Taran) and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur College Fategarh Sahib,
for which a separate intimation from the above mentioned Institute/College will be given to the
candidates.
5. No TA,DA will be paid for appearing in the exam and subsequent tests/interview.

6. Procedure to apply on line

(a) Fill the online application form available on the website http://recruitment-
portal.in by clicking at the link, “Entrance Exam, Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI”.

(b) The application can be filled on line only till 27 Dec 2017 upto 5.00 PM.

(c) If by mistake the candidate has filled in wrong information he can correct the
information upto 27 Dec 2017 upto 5.00 PM. By entering his registration number and
password. After 27 Dec 2017, no editing will be permitted and thereafter information
will be locked and no change will be acceptable/ allowed.

(d) Candidates are required to apply through online only, latest passport size
photograph is required to be uploaded.

(e) On successful submission of the form, candidates are required to take the print
out which will have registration No printed on it and print out of the form is to be
retained by the candidate for any further enquiry.

(f) Fee for the application will be paid online through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net
Banking.

(g). Every successful registration will be allotted the Registration No.

(h) In case the candidate fails to deposit the fee before the last date of submission
of the application, his application shall stand automatically cancelled/ rejected and shall
not be considered for further processing.

(j) For any problem in filling of form, help can be taken from the help line no 0172-
6619062-63 available during working hours.

(k) Candidates are advised to visit website http://recruitment-portal.in regularly for

any important information/update by C-DAC.

(l). In case a candidate is unable to get the ‘PRINT OUT’ of the submitted form, he
should re try the same procedure again.

(m) The list of candidates whose fee is confirmed will be displayed on website
http://recruitment-portal.in for reference with effect from 04 Jan 2018.

(n) The candidate can download their ADMIT CARDS by visiting the website
http://recruitment-portal.in again by entering his registration number and password
 (Candidates are advised not to disclose the password to any one for data security) with
effect from 08.01.2018. In case any candidate is unable to get the admit card, he must
contact C-DAC Mohali personally or on helpline numbers one day before the said
examination upto 5.00 PM, falling which department will not be held responsible.

(o) Candidates will be responsible for any mistakes made by them in the on line
application form, Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI or C-DAC shall not be responsible or liable
in any way.

(p) The examination will be held on 14 Jan 2018 at 1100 hours

(q) Names of candidates called for interview will be available on

http://afpipunjab.org & http://recruitment-portal.in . The date shall be announced
separately on the C-DAC website.

(r). The venue date and time of interview will be available on the website
www.afpipunjab.org Candidates will not be informed individually about the result and
interview schedule.

7. Instructions

(a). The candidates should reach the examination centre one hour before the start of
the examination. At the examination centre, the candidate will be required to produce
his admit card pasted with latest passport size photograph and duly attested by self
alongwith identity proof (Aadhar Card/School identity Card signed by Principal).

(b) The candidate must satisfy himself that he fulfils all the eligibility conditions for
admission. Appearing in the examination and qualifying test does not entitle him for
admission to the Institute. The selection will be subject to his being found eligible.
Verification of original documents would be done at the time of interview which will be
intimated only to successful candidates. The purpose would be to verify different
records regarding identification, age, qualifying examination & state of eligibility, of the
candidates. On failing to establish, any of the documents at the time of interview the
candidate will not be considered for admission.

(c) The question paper will be of objective type (100 marks) having 100 questions
with a weightage of 60% Maths and 40% English with multiple choices on OMR sheet
with one correct answer of each question of class Xth standard. The duration of the
paper will be of (2) two hours, there will be NEGATIVE MARKING. Each right answer will
carry FOUR marks and wrong answer minus ONE mark.
(d) No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination without admit card
and identity proof in original.

(e) Candidates should bring with them BLUE or BLACK Ball Pens. Books, written
notes, calculators, mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic devices etc will
not be permitted to be carried in the examination hall.

(f) Candidate who have already passed Class 10 and are currently studying in Class
11 may also apply provided they meet the age criteria, however such and candidates
will be required to repeat Class 11 if selected for admission to AFPI.
(g) Allocation of centres. Choice of Centres will be given by the candidates in his
on line application and finally allocated by C-DAC. No change in allotted Centres will
normally be accepted once allotted by C-DAC.
