DESCRIPTION:

Magnetek Drives and Systems has notified us that they have received Drive and Brake Sub System (DBSS)
printed circuit boards for repair that have dedicated duty related hardware installed. It is imperative that all duty
related hardware be removed and retained at the site for installation in the replacement board. The duty related
hardware is as follows:

A) On the DBSS Control PCB P/N 46S02691-0030 (Otis P/N LA46S2691-0030) used in both the Direct Drive and
the Ward Leonard Power Converter Module (PCM). Remove and retain EPROMS 1MC and 3MC, these contain
the application specific software. Also remove and retain the EEPROM 7MC this contains the duty specific data.
These chips should be installed in the replacement board. See sketch 1 for chip locations.

B) 12 S.C.R. Controller PCB P/N 46S02690-0021 (Otis P/N LA46S2690-0021) used in the Direct Drive only.
Remove and retain the Duty Plug PCB (9PC) that is plugged in the 4 Conn connector. The duty plug calibrates
the 12 S.C.R. to the duty required and contains the current transformer Burden resistors, as well as the scaling
resistors for the converter voltage circuit and the electronic motor overload. See sketch 2 for 9PC location.

As always all DBSS returns must be done through the Otis Service Center (OSC) in Bloomfield, Ct.
