EDITING
Display of supports in a 3D calculation view
You can display supports in a 3D view distinguishing between their typical types: fixed and pinned
column bases and an elastic foundation for spread and continuous footings.

New snap options

Using new snap options, you can snap the cursor to a point in the direction perpendicular and parallel
to the object line, to a point on the extension of this line, and in the directions compatible with the axes
of the coordinate system.
You can also define elements in the local system (ORTHO mode).

Information about the length of an object or segment

While defining objects, the software displays information about the total length of an object, and (if
selected) the distance to a specified point and you can modify them using the keyboard.
Autodesk® Concrete Building Structures

MODEL
Foundations and a varying soil level
You can define backfills for foundations which allows you to design spread and continuous footings
more precisely, if soil levels on both sides of the foundation differ, or if the reference level around the
building varies.

INTEGRATION
Automatically generating nodes for seismic verification
®
When the software links with the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2009 RC design
modules, it transfers data that allows automatically detecting frame nodes with adjoining elements,
which is needed for seismic verification.

Automatically generating dowel bars

When the software links with the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2009 RC design
modules, it transfers data that allows automatically generating dowel bars in columns, spread and
continuous footings.

Import of deflection maps with cracks present, and cracking widths

When calculating the required reinforcement areas, the software automatically calculates and displays
deflection maps with cracks present, and cracking widths (for all codes that it is applicable to)

CALCULATIONS
Optimization of a calculation time
A time for preparing a structure for calculations (for all methods) and a calculation time (for simplified
methods) have been considerably reduced because of using parallel processing on multicore
computers.

Optimization of display of reinforcing bars

The display of reinforcing bars has been considerably accelerated when importing these bars from the
Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2009 RC design modules, using the mechanism that
allows you to group bars with identical shapes.
