Scope of the offer

Supply of spare parts
Ensure the supply of spare parts for equipment that is no longer commercialised
by manufacturing departments.
Switchboard renovation
p Progressive replacement without modification of customers’ equipment:
renovation of medium and low voltage switchgear,
kits for improving equipment.
p Complete replacement or addition of cubicles by extension:
insertion of cubicles into the switchboard with connection ducts,
addition at the end of the switchboard of cubicles identical to the initial cubicle,
in accordance with floor space constraints.
Switchgear renovation
Replacement of old medium and low voltage switchgear and protection devices
by retrofit solutions.

Product life cycle
There are four major phases in the product life cycle:
Commercialisation period
The product is launched to the market and is included in the Schneider Electric catalogue.
The supply of spare parts is guaranteed.
Guaranteed spare parts supply period

The product is withdrawn from the market.
Schneider Electric continues to supply spare parts for a period of time.
Generally speaking, the average guaranteed spare part supply period
after the end of commercialisation is :
p medium voltage: 12 years
p low voltage power: 10 years
p compact (accessories - devices): 3 years
p electronic equipment: according to the range
When the end of the guarantee period is reached, the product is considered to be expired.
Non-guaranteed spare parts supply period

As of the expiry date, the product is considered to be expired.
Spare part stock and supply are no longer guaranteed after the expiry date.
This period ends on the date on which the spare part offer is ended.

Enhanced equipment performance with minimal interruption

Schneider Electric offer retrofit solutions for various medium voltage and low voltage devices installed in the world
today.
Why retrofit?
Retrofitting allows you to extend the life of your power distribution without the disruption of physically removing and
replacing your entire switchboard and disturbing existing cabling.
It will also improve your installation’s efficiency through the use of the latest available technology.
Dependent on the device to be retrofitted, Schneider Electric can offer several solutions:
MV Retrofit
• Schneider Electric have designed a retrofit solution to extend the operational life of its YSF6 range
of withdrawable switchgear, introducing a “roll-out” “roll-in” retrofit offer which replaces the SF6 circuit breaker with
our latest Evolis vacuum circuit breaker in a new moving portion. In addition certain other device ranges also
covered.

devices
• LV plug and play - An innovative solution developed exclusively for Schneider Electric Masterpact M and Klockner
Moeller IZM circuit breakers. The original chassis is retained, allowing the retrofit to be completed in less than one hour,
with minimal disruption.
