Received a grant from Google and created the Medgar Evers College Pipeline program. The
funding allowed us to introduce computer science and programming to students from the
community ranging from age 7 – 17. We reached approximate 200 students in this time
frame, where they were not only able to get a strong understanding of programming logic and
algorithms, but also learned real world programming languages that are currently being used
in industry.

Topics/Subjects: Unity, C#

Contact : Kristopher Kasper, Lead Director

Overview and Outcome:

As an Instructor at Idtech Camp I had the pleasure of walking students through each step in
the game development process. We then brained stormed how we want the application to
function / game to play, feel, and function. Next we began building a prototype of the game
that got all the basic functionalities of the game working. Then we refined the game until the
player felt like they were experiencing seamless mechanics. By the end of the program every
student left with a suite of personal projects, the ability to take something from idea phase to
implementation, and the ability to think through logical problems in the form of programming.
