MGA Meeting Minutes January 4,2018

Discussion Topics:
 Current membership is 53 versus 60 at this time last year
 The 2018 tournament schedule, event descriptions and announcements were reviewed.
 As an effort to provide nonmembers an opportunity of experiencing a MGA event, the
idea of a MGA member guest tournament was discussed. The Burden One Day event
could be an example of a member guest event, where everyone would be playing the
same tees.

Improving Equity and Fairness in MGA Events:

The ongoing discussion of efforts for improving equity and fairness in MGA events were
continued. Don Nemeth reviewed last year’s tournament results analyzing the number of
players who would be affected by proposed procedures. That review will continue, and the
proposed procedures will be put in writing for review by the committee.
