I hope everyone had a blessed
and Merry Christmas!
We excitedly welcomed
students back on January 8th.
It was wonderful to hear
about everyone’s holidays.
December was an incredibly
busy month! I would like to
thank all students and
families for their hard work
during December. As a school
community we were able to
enjoy Christmas shopping,
Christmas Dinner and our
Christmas concert. Thank you
for your support during this
busy month!
As we begin January I
encourage you to review the
concepts of the curriculum
that we will be covering this
month. During January, we

will be discussing keeping our
bodies healthy and active.
That includes discussing and
practicing fitness in Physical
Education. We will also be
discussing substance use
(drugs, alcohol and addiction)
in Health. I encourage you to
continue this conversation
with students at home. Please

Bonjour!
Welcome back and happy
New Year! I hope that
everyone had a very restful
and fun filled holiday season.
December was a very busy
month filled with Christmas
activities, concerts, dinners
Christmas Cards from Kansas!
To learn about various Christmas traditions our
class exchanged cards with a Grade 5 class in
Kansas.
and many new and exciting
learning opportunities.
Coming up in January we will
begin a new unit titled
‘Destinations d'hiver’ where
we will talk about other
French speaking locations in
the world that experience
winter, winter activities and
many grammar topics while
incorporating conversational
opportunities
throughout. Students will also
begin to learn strategies to
edit their own work as well as
peer edit. We will continue to
work on verb conjugation,
discussion skills and
strategies to aide in listening
comprehension.
