    The M-CRAMS scoring system provides a method to assess trauma patients involved in motor vehicle accidents. It examines a patient's mechanism of injury, circulation, respiration, anatomical findings, motor function, and speech to assign a score from 0 to 12. A score of 10 or less indicates the hospital should be notified in advance to have a trauma team prepared to receive the patient.
