K Access to the Controls

• Unplug the dryer or turn off power to the
dryer at the main service panel.

• Unscrew the console at each end. Some

models have screws at the bottom front of
the console (right). Others have screws at
the top or sides of the console. To expose
the screws you may have to peel back a
decorative strip that conceals them.

• Spread a towel on top of the dryer to
protect its finish.

• Roll the console facedown onto the towel

(right). On some models you must first slide
the console forward to disengage tabs on
the end panels from slots in the dryer top.

• If the console has a rear panel, unscrew

it to expose the start switch, temperature
selector, circuit diagram, and timer.
