Leopards Courier Service is started in 1983 with five destinations. At present, we have
to our credit 1036 destinations for general clients and 376 destinations where service
is limited to banks only. These destinations are controlled and fed from 164 Major Hubs
spread all over Pakistan.
Jahangir Shahid, founder of Leopards Courier, started the business with only five
destinations. Leopards Courier had scope, and the company quickly grew to cover over
1000 destinations, house over 200 vehicles, and employ over 3000 people. Currently,
Leopards Courier has the largest network in Pakistan.
LCS provides the wide range of customer services such as testing of documents, detain
and economy, services and leopards Loveline. LCS also provides the special services
like mango feast, Kinno, document testing, Thailand visa.
Leopard's next-morning delivery service offers nationwide door –to –door delivery the
morning of the very next day for urgent documents and parcels.
Leopard Courier manages their Inventory by average method. After Receiving package
or parcel form customer they making a slip and tagging each and every parcel or
package with Bar codes and giving the identity of P.Bag.
Leopard Courier services are using centralized warehousing facility for their logistics
operations. Their warehouses are located at main offices of leopard in each station
Parcels and packages for detain & tuck services are first collect in various station and
then gathered at zonal head office for further proceed.
Leopard courier service are using different types of transportation modes with inter
models services. They are using these transportation modes by air, road and rail.

After establishing its niche in the national market, Leopards saw potential for further
expansion and, in the year 2000, launched itself internationally. Leopards now offer
worldwide delivery services, and have international offices in Dubai, Singapore and
China.

Leopards Courier Service started in 1983 with five destinations. At present, they have
our credit 1036 destinations for general clients and 376 destinations where service is
limited to banks only. These destinations are controlled and fed from 164 Major Hubs
spread all over Pakistan.
They are employing about 2,400 couriers throughout Pakistan who are equipped with
motorcycles and mobiles to ensure timely pick up and deliveries. They have 400 fully
trained professional staff is available to look after our customer’s needs and interest
and to support these couriers.
As far as their network is concerned they have one of the largest domestic networks in
Pakistan. To cover such vast and remote areas Leopards Courier Service uses both air
transportation and ground transportation to and from these hubs. They are at present
offering Detain services for heavy cargo to all the destinations given in the list and
Over Land services to about 40 major stations from Karachi to Peshawar on our own
mini trucks.
This could be possible only due to customer’s confidence, faith; reliability reposed in
their efficiency, speed and in time deliveries. They say that “We are grateful to God

Target Market
Millions of people use their service every day, from large multinational firms to small
corporations and businesses. Individuals use their services to deliver packages or
specialized gifts through Leopards. They are having about 5,000 permanent customers
throughout Pakistan who are giving us their documents for carriage. Among these
customers, they have Government and Private Banks; we are also serving reputable
Insurance, Manufacturing and trading companies.

Jehangir Shahid is the founder and CEO of Leopards courier ltd., Pakistan’s leading
Courier Company which unites people nationwide and offers services in the most
remote areas of the country.Seeing potential for a courier company that could connect
the whole nation, Jehangir established Leopards Courier in 1983 within five destinations
in the country. Jehangir’s foresight and visionary attitude lead towards expansion of the
company, and after establishing one of the largest nationwide networks, Leopards went
international in the year 2000, setting up offices in Dubai, Singapore and China.

In the year 2005, Rizwan joined Leopards Courier to devote his energies to a rapidly
growing company in the need of a newer, and bigger, direction. Aspiring towards
developing a company which matched global standards, Rizwan set out towards
enabling the organizational structures of the company to cater towards the
international market.Under Rizwan Saadat’s administration, a new system of
computerized barcode package tracking was implemented to track the forwarding of
packages, making the whole mailing process highly secure and efficient.
Rizwan Saadat established a new and improved sales and marketing division of the
company along with the Leopards Love line gift services division, bringing in new
trends at Leopards Courier.

Leopard's next-morning delivery service offers nationwide door –to –door delivery the
morning of the very next day for urgent documents and parcels. Whether it's signed

Inventory Management
Leopard Courier if providing the pickup service to their customers. Their

representatives moves door to door and pick the parcel and package for booking.
Leopard Courier manages their Inventory by average method. After receiving package
or parcel form customer they make a slip and tagging each and every parcel or

every items.Items are sorted by their destination stations. All the P.Bags belonging to
one zonal office will gather in one parcel called by Mother Bag.(Under one zonal office

Management Information System. Form the point of Origento the point of destination
by their Management Information System any Parcel or Package can be track and trace
easily. Whenever the shipments reach the destination the barcodes are rescanned and
their records are maintained in computers.
Warehouse
Leopard Courier services are using centerializes warehousing facility for their logistics
operations. Their warehouses are located at main offices of leopard in each station.
Because of their day to day operation of logistics they are using their warehouse as a
secondary activity. Warehouse which is located at zonal head office are much bigger
then to other stations. Parcels and packages for detain & tuck services are first collect
in various station and then gathered at zonal head office for further proceed.

detain services are effected badly. From which customer’s satisfaction level is
going down.
✔ Due to increase in petroleum products rates by government leopard courier are
facing increasing transportation cost. That has major impact on their service
operations.
✔ Controlling largest network efficiently with customer satisfaction is also a very
big challenge for leopard courier.
Suggestions
In our analysis we observe company’s overall performance is very good. And they
manage their day to day operations. Effectively and efficiently. But if we look at the
whole scenario there are some factors that can increase the company’s performance.
Those are
✔ As per requirement, company need to buy air equipment. For their daily
operations they need a cargo plane which is cost effect for services. For that
company can reduce its cost easily.
✔ Management must give some attention to their marketing plan and incrase their
publicity. By increasing advertisement company can grow rapidly and can raise
their revenue easily.
✔ In the scope of Pakistan’s current economy. For achieving the best customer
service goals they should make the contingent plan for the shipment routes.
That can reduce the variability in transmittal time
