ABSTRACT

Preliminary survey conducted at the earlier stage of this project revealed that a lot
of problems are associated with the existing system of managing FUTO farm. Some
of these problems include; lack of platform to advertise their services, poor stock
and sales record keeping system, and poor customer relationship management
system. There is no means for farmers to update their knowledge on modern
agricultural methods and no mechanism for customers outside the farm’s jurisdiction
to order for or buy products from the farm. These problems motivated the research
to embark on this project whose aim is to develop a website that will help smooth
running of FUTO farm and incorporate an effective customer relationship
management. Structured system analysis and design methodology was adopted
during the system analysis and design. Web programming languages such as PHP,
HTML and JavaScript were used to implement the design. When the new system is
fully implemented, it will help FUTO farm in advertising and selling its products
and extending service limits. This will in turn improve the level of income generated
by FUTO farm. This website (FUTO farm website) will servers as a platform where
customer or clients can order, buy, pay for products online, in order words its will
serve as a sources of income or revenue for the institution
