GUIDELINES FOR ELECTIVE ADMIRALTY CASE REPORTING

1. Every student will be assign to report 2 cases. He is given a


maximum of 10 minutes to report both cases and must ensure that the
relevant issue(s) and jurisprudence related to maritime/admiralty laws
are discussed.

2. After the assigned cases are reported, the professor will randomly
select one student to ask the reporter 2 questions regarding his
assigned cases. The reporter is then given a maximum of 10 minutes
to answer both questions.

3. When called to report, the student must stand and face the class
while speaking. Reporters are not allowed to carry, bring or hold their
notes or copies of their cases while reporting or answering questions.

4. The students who are choosen to ask questions will be graded base
on the relevance or substance of their questions. The reporters are
graded base on how they report their assigned cases and the answers
they give to the questions.

5. When all students have finished reporting, a soft copy of all the case
digest are to be compiled in a uniform format and forwarded to the
professor. A hard copy is also required to be submitted to the
professor in the same compiled uniform format. Both copies will be
graded as a class project and form part of every student’s grade.

6. Once a student is called to report, absence or any form of inability


to report for unjustifiable/unreasonable reasons is an automatic fail
and the said student will not be called again to report. Hence, please
ensure your attendance and punctuality.
