Hush Hush
By Becca Fitzpatrick
First book: Hush hush.

The story starts off with Nora, a high school girl whose father was murdered months before the start of
the series. In her biology class she meets Patch. A bad boy with a lot of secrets. With the help of her best
friend Vee Sky, she discovers that Patch is a fallen angel who fell from heaven due to lust. Originally
Patch is out to harm Nora, to sacrifice her because he believes if he does he will be able to feel. (Fallen
Angles can not physically feel anything.) At the end of the first book Patch's descendent and Nephilim
vassal, Jules aka Chauncey, tries to kill Nora as revenge against Patch. Nora sacrifices herself and Patch
was given two options: become an archangel and let Nora live, or become human and let Nora die. His
love for her was great enough to were he spared her life and became a fallen angel. Also in this book it is
revealed the Nora is a nephilim, a descendant of a fallen angel and human.

The 2rd book: Crescendo

In the 2nd book, Nora and Patch start to drift ways, he starts spending time with Marcie Miller, Nora's
enemy. In return she starts talking to Scott Parnell, who is a Nephilim like her although he doesn’t really
know it at this point. He was forced to be part of the Blackhand's army. A growing force of Nephilim
whose goal is to defeat the Fallen Angels. While this is happening Nora and Patch drift further and
further apart while Vee goes close to Rixon, Patch's friend and also a fallen angel. Marcie reveals to Nora
and her dad and Nora's mom had an affair and that Hank Miller is really her father. Also, Nora, fed up
with Patch renounces him as her guardian angel and he can no longer protect her. Patch becomes
Marcie’s guardian angel and Rixon, Vee, and Nora head to Delphic Amustment Park. Scott appears with
a gun and Rixon rushes Nora to an underground tunnel to protect her. Nora hears her dad’s voice telling
her to touch his wing scars which transports her into a vision showing Rixon is the man who killed her
dad. She tries to escape and runs to Scott and tell him that he is immortal and can not die. Rixon shoots
him more than once and tries to sacrifice Nora but Patch comes in and saves her after she gets shot.
After Nora is released from the hospital she finds that Scott has run away because the police think he is
the one who tried to hurt Nora. Patch and Nora go to his safe house in Delphic. This book ends with
Hank Miller, Nora’s real dad coming in and taking her away from Patch.

The 3rd book: Silence

Silence begins with Nora waking up in a cemetery, she is found by Detective Basso who takes her to the
hospital. She has been missing since the summer and she can’t remember the past five months of her
life, so she does not remember Patch. In the hospital Nora finds out her mom is dating Hank Miller, the
father of her worst enemy. Forced to go to dinner with her mom and Hank, she wonders outside and
stumbles upon three fallen angles trying to force a Nephilim to swear an oath of fealty. As one of the

angles was about to kill her he is stopped by Jev, who seemed to recognize Nora. Jev takes her home
and she touches his wing scars and she sees a vision of Jev, Hank and a wingless Archangel. Scott comes
back into town and the two of them decide to investigate Hank’s warehouse. She later goes back alone
and Jev finds her. He takes her to a nightclub to escape the guards and they are discovered by the
guards and go to his safe house underneath Delphic. Here it is revealed that Jev is Patch. It is revealed
that Hank kidnapped his own daughter to use her against Patch so he would spy on the fallen angles for
him. At school Nora hears her mom got a concussion and on the way to the hospital with Hank they are
forced off the road and also had to go to the hospital. When she was released Scott needed help and
when she got there she was taken by Hank. He gives her two options, become a Nephilim or have her
and her mom die. She does not believe this and Hank explains that although he is her dad she is only
part Nephilim, not pure. While in the hospital after the car accident he gave her a full blood transfusion
making her into a pure blood Nephilim. With no choice Nora swears an oath and becomes immortal.
After this Nora runs to Patch and tells him about the oath, she goes into his memory and learns about
devilcraft. A form of magic originating from Hell. A deal was made with the Archangels and they had
until sunset to kill Hank, which normally can’t be done. They decide to let the archangels deal with him
and as they are leaving him Nora sees Hank trying to burn Patch’s last feather, which would send him to
hell. She kills him, saving Patch. She decides to tell her mom and Vee everything but at her house she
sees Scott and he tells her that with Hank dead she has to lead the Nephilim army Hank started because
he made Nora his heir. She doesn’t want to lead the army but because of the oath she has to or she will
die.

The last book: Finale

The story starts with a meeting, where we learn Nora needs to gain trust among those in the army. One
night Nora is approached by Pepper Fridberg, who turns out to be an archangel who wants to talk to
Patch. Someone is blackmailing him and he thinks it is Patch. On her way home one day she is taken by
three Nehpilim, who beat her up because they think she is unfit to lead and because of her relationship
with Patch. They plan a fake break up, and the day before Nora and Dante Matterazzi start Nora’s
training to get her up to par with the other Nephil. That night Nora and Patch stage their breakup, after
the breakup Nora learns Marcie Miller is moving in with her and her mom because Marcie’s own mom is
difficult to get along with. After the break up Vee pressures Nora to tell her the truth, saying she has
secrets of her own, but Nora won’t say anything. The next time Nora and Dante train, he gives her a
drink, this drink is devilcraft, and it gives her new strength and powers. Also during training she learns
how to create illusions, invade minds(mind tricks), and even possess bodies for short amounts of time.
Pepper then uses Patch’s phone to text Nora and kidnaps her, wanting to talk to Patch again, but she
escapes. But we do learn that Blakely, the devilcraft developer is researching a weapon to kill nephilim.
Nora, Patch, and Marcie try to capture Blakely, but they fail and Nora is wounded by a knife enchanted
with devilcraft. And because it is enchanted the wound doesn’t heal instantly like it normally would.
That night Patch tells her that she needs an antidote for the devilcraft or she will become addicted to it
and it will rot her from the inside out. She mind tricks Patch into thinking she took the antidote. Patch

also tells Nora he has been trying to figure out who is blackmailing Pepper. Scott and Nora confront
Pepper, thinking all he really wants to do is get rid of Patch, it turns out he knows who is blackmailing
him but he can’t say, he just wants to offer Patch a job. Nora, Scott, and Patch go to the cementary with
Pepper to try and see the blackmailer, Nora is attacked from behind and it’s Dante. He tells Nora that
Pepper was sent to investigate him and Blakely for using Devilcraft and also reveals he is working for the
fallen angels, thinking the nephilim are a lost cause in the war. Nora and Patch get an idea, have Pepper
steal all the fallen angels’ feathers from heaven and then make them swear to never possess a body
again. Scott calls and says Dante is going to let everyone know she killed Hank, but she challenges him to
a duel before he can do so. Nora decides to tell Vee the truth, but she already knows because she is
actually a Nephilim. Pepper delivers the feathers to Patch’s underground tunnel in Delphic, but when
Scott and Nora get there he is gone and Marcie is burning all the feathers because she thinks she should
be leading the army. All of the feathers, including Patch’s burn and all the angels are sent to hell. Nora
still goes onto duel Dante, but the fallen angel interrupt. Rixon, escaped from hell, attacks Nora and says
they either swore an oath to Dante or stayed in hell. She wounds him and finds Dante, who now has
devilcraft living within him. They fight and Scott gets in the way trying to protect Nora and is killed.
Nora, enraged possess Dante’s body long enough to make him fall on his own sword. She then finds
Detective Basso; the man that found her is Silence. He is an archangel who was sent to eliminate
devilcraft. He tells her when the time is right “go for a nice, clean cut through the middle of the mark on
your wrist.” He leaves and she finds Patch, who escaped by possesing Rixon long enough to get through
the gates of Hell. He also tell her every angel that left was injected with devilcraft, and when it died with
Dante, it killed all of the fallen angels. They make a blood oath to each other and she cut herself where
Basso told her to, and when their blood mixes Patch can feel, a gift from Detective Basso. Years later we
are at Vee’s wedding to a human, and he doesn’t know what she is, we learn Marcie died months
earlier, five people going to her funeral. The series end with Patch and Nora leaving Vee’s wedding,
going to their own private retreat.
