MESSAGE

It is with great pride and pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to

the graduates of Class 2017.

This year’s graduation theme “Sabay-Sabay na Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad

na Kinabukasan” according to the DepEd, highlights the importance of concerted
endeavor, collective efforts and unity in forging a better and progressive future for the
Filipino youth. Indeed, dear graduates, you would not have successfully arrived at this
important juncture in your life without the collective efforts of your parents, your
teachers as your second parents, the school’s administration, and of government and
non-government organizations alike.

To our dear Siargaonon parents, thank you for putting a high premium on your
children’s education and for believing with us that education will bring them to a better
future. To our Siargaonon educators, thank you for your sacrifices and for taking a big
role in nation building by mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Dear graduates, as you receive your diplomas and certificates, may you
remember what Arie Pencovici said:
“Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation
is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that,
you'll make a difference”.

We need more young men and women who will make a difference in and for our
nation. I hope that you make your parents, your mentors and your home island proud
by working hard to achieve your dreams and visions with a higher goal in mind of
giving back not just to your families but to your nation as well.

Again congratulations to the graduates and to the supportive parents, teachers

and staff. You all are doing your part in realizing our dream of a progressive Siargao.
