LOGO MAKING COMPETITION

OVERVIEW
Dasmariñas East Integrated High School is the new name of Dasmariñas East National
High School. Along with this is the quest for new school logo design, thus the DEIHS New
School’s Logo Design Competition. The new logo will replace the old logo.

ELIGIBILITY
1. The contest is open to all students of Dasmariñas East Integrated High School,
individuals/group, composed of 2 members who are inclined to do free hand drawing and
digital graphic.
2. Participants should submit one (1) entry per individual/group.

. ENTRY DESIGN
1. Entries should be in digitized (at least 600 dpi). The raw file of the digital artwork should
be drawn/ illustrated in A4 size using Adobe Illustrator.
Submit the file in the following formats:
1) Flat jpeg format, minimum 300 pixels
2) Original Raw File (psd, ai, corel)
Filename is your name and artwork title Example: juandelacruz_logo.jpeg,
juandelacruz_logo.tiff, juandelacruz_logo.psd
a) There are no restrictions in the number of colors used.
b) A brief description or rationale explaining the components of the logo should
also be included in the entry. This should not be more than 500 words, Arial, 12 pts, 1.5
spacing and justified.
c) The logo design should not reflect or show any mark, initials, and words,
phrases that identifies the artist or participating group.
3) The design of the logo should be versatile in its application and must embody the
essence of the DepEd and school’s vision and mission.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

1. By entering the competition, the participants declare that the logos submitted are
their original work, have not been submitted to any other competition, and does not
infringe on any third party’s existing copyrights. Any complaints that may arise due to
similarities, likeness or comparison of the design would be the accountability of the
participant as he/she would be responsible to prove its authenticity.
2. The logo-making competition shall be judged according to the following criteria:

2. Registration will be on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at SSG
Corner or A.P Department. Look for Ms. Trixie Abejar, SSG President/Mrs. Ma. Vernessa
B. Bellen, SSG Adviser/Mrs. Riza Mae G. Dela Pena, Head Teacher II.
3. Contest will be on January 23, 2018 at 9:00am at ICT Room 1. The winning entry will be
announced on January 26, 2018 (Friday). The decision of the judges is final.
4. The winner will be announced and awarded with a cash prize (Php 1,000.00) and a
certificate of recognition. All entries submitted as entry for the contest shall be
considered as property of the Dasmariñas East National High School, and maybe used by
the school at any time that it sees fit, such as but not limited to publications,
advertisements, exhibits and other printed or digital media.
5. The school shall also have exclusive rights to the winning logo designs; publish it on its
websites, and in other materials such as letterheads and envelopes.
6. The DEIHS reserves the right to modify the winning logo.
