GC G-Bond – single-component adhesive with unique nano-interaction zone

It could not be simpler and quicker: double the adhesion in 30

seconds
Dry, moist or wet, enamel or dentine: the new self-etching GC G-Bond from GC
EUROPE with patented technology creates a quick, reliable and highly stable bond
to any tooth surface. In addition to micro-mechanical retention, it creates chemical
adhesion that is comparable to that of glass-ionomer cements. This is due to the
extremely thin nano-interaction zone (NIZ) of GC G-Bond, which forms as a result of
the mild acid and two functional monomers – for double the adhesion to enamel and
dentine.

Adhesive systems should be simple, quick and safe to use and provide reliably strong
bonding to enamel and dentine. The new self-etching and light-curing adhesive from the
Dental Care Company perfectly satisfies these requirements. The use of 4 MET and
phosphoric acid ester guarantees a strong bond to the tooth surface – equally strong for
dentine and enamel.

Novel technology for ultimate reliability

The gentle self-conditioning takes place at a pH of around 2 and results in a wafer-thin
nano-interaction zone (NIZ). The simultaneous demineralisation and infiltration by the
monomers mean the hybrid layer is tightly sealed and the risk of nano-leakages is very
low. Current studies have also shown that an opening in the dentinal tubules is prevented
and thus postoperative hypersensitivity is largely ruled out. The layer of GC G-Bond is
extremely fine and free of blow holes, so that it can completely cover any cavity, however
small or deep. Furthermore, it is HEMA-free – for ultimate, long-term reliability of the
adhesive bond.

Uncomplicated bonding in three steps

Since GC G-Bond displays incredibly low sensitivity to technique or moisture compared
with dentine, it provides the user with greater certainty and yields a reliable and durable
result – and it does this in three quick, uncomplicated steps. The whole bonding process,
with exposure time, drying at maximum air pressure and light curing, lasts only 30
seconds!
Storage is also user-friendly: owing to its stable composition and specially developed
bottle, GC G-Bond can be safely stored at room temperature with a shelf-life of two years.
The light-cured filling material GC Gradia Direct, the free-flowing micro-hybrid composite
GC Gradia Direct Flo for base fillings, the new curing lamp GC G-Light and GC G-Bond
now provide dentists with an innovative complete system for unique composite
restorations – aesthetic and perfectly coordinated.
GC G-Bond is now available in a set containing one bottle (five millilitre contents), 50
micro-tip applicators and accessories as well as a starter kit (50 capsules for single use
each containing 0.1 millilitre and 50 disposable applicators).
