Don’t just crunch numbers – put them to work

Most successful business programs emphasize the transition from theory to practice. But what if you could
combine them at the highest levels to create something unique and powerful?

Cal State Fullerton’s Master of Science in Financial Engineering and Risk Management (MS FERM) is a
ground-breaking new hybrid program that bridges the gap between the quantitative principles of financial
engineering and the practical business applications of risk management. You’ll learn to solve problems facing the
financial services industry using knowledge and skills obtained through diversified class offerings, applied
research and professional mentorship. The program essential helps you discover your desired career path as you
prepare for it.

The MS FERM program comprises three semesters and 10 courses – seven required and three electives – culminating in a
semester-long capstone project. The program’s electives will let you choose how you would like your curriculum to be
weighted: Based on your academic and career goals, you can lean more toward an insurance emphasis, more toward a
quantitative engineering emphasis, or create an equal balance of both.
