2.0 Methodology

2.1 Research Design

This study will use qualitative research approach with phenomenological design.
It is a systematic study of daily life experiences of individuals on a group of people.
Additionally this study will talk about the system of Agricultural rice production in

Country’s eonomy. There is a great emphasis on human experiences as it is actually

lived, on the careful collection and analysis of data.

2.2 Population & Sampling

The researchers decided to use Purposive Sampling Technique, wherein the

respondents of the study must select on the given tract and should be five farmers
with the age of 50-60 years old. The researchers chose farmers with the age around
50-60's because they have enough experience in farming in order to answer the
questions owing the fact that they have so much time spenfing their lives in farming.

2.3 Research Locale

The research locale of the researcher will be Nueva Ecija, because of the
relationship between the respondents and one on the proponents.Specifically Jaen and
San Leonardo area. In recent studies, Nueva Ecija has the largest number of farms in
Central Luzon with the total 119.1 thousand farms area in the region were accounted
by this province. (NSO,9Census of Agriculture and Fisheries,2012). The researchers
chose this place because they believe and look for opportunities for more possible
cases and participants that passed the criteria needed in study.

2.4 Research Instrument

The instrument of this study is in the form of semi-structured interview. The

questions was made by the researchers and the language used was Filipino for the
participants to easily understand the questions that the researchers will provide. The
researchers will use smartphones in recording the interview in order to record all the
details needed in the study.

2.5 Data Collection

First and foremost, the researchers will give waiver or a letter to the research
adviser as a permission to have an interview with the five partcipants. The research
adviser will sign this letter that will be given to the barangay of the given place where
the researchers will conduct the interview. The researchers will build rapport with the
respondents in order to have a better and comfortable conversation and conection
with them.

Before the interview began, the researchers will discuss first the purpose of their
interview and why they had chosen them. Subsequently, the researchers will conduct
one-on-one interviews with the chosen participants. Primary data will be from the
interview. After every questions, the researchers will append follow up

questions for additional informations. The interviews will be recorded for concrete
and exact answers in the questions. They will not just focus on the respondents'

answers and ideas but their expressions, behaviours and the way they retort to the
questions.

2.6 Data Analysis

The researchers will use thematic analysis as a way of analyzing and gathering
the data. That will be collected through interviewing. The researchers will record the
interview in order to find themes. Data will be deeply analyzed by formulating its

matural meaning as they spounteneously emerge from the categories system. The
themes that will be use for sorting the relationships of given statements of the
respondents. The meaning units that will surface is synthesized into a consisted
description that is reflected the participants' life experiences.
