LEARNING phrases and expressions with the corrrect stress, rhythm and intonation
STANDARDS 1.1.3 Able to speak on related topics with guidance
1.2.4 Able to participate in conversations with peers
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :-
3. Discuss about the games on Family Day orally.
OBJECTIVE
4. Share their likes and dislikes about their favourite activity.
5. Survey the favourite activities of their peers in the class.
SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils are able to create a table of favourite activity of their friends.
1. Teacher lists the favourite games and asks pupils to brainstorm ideas for the fair.
2. Pupils share their previous knowledge with the teacher.
PRESENTATION
3. Teacher writes down all the points given on the whiteboard.
4. Pupils get into groups of 5 determined by the teacher. (Mixed Group)
1. Pupils create their own table of favourite activities individually.
2. Pupils are shown how to create the table header correctly.
PRACTICE
3. Pupils are given 10 minutes to create the table.
4. Teacher performs scaffolding for weaker pupils during the activity.
1. Pupils are given time to survey the favourite activity of their friends in groups.
2. Pupils are encouraged to ask pupils from other groups as well.
PRODUCTION
3. Teacher asks pupils to paste their work in their exercise book.
4. Teacher summarises the lesson with the help of one pupil.

SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils are able to complete and perform the poem ‘Watching A Bumblebee’
1. Teacher puts up a picture of a bumble bee and pupils are asked on their previous knowledge.
2. Using the picture of the bee, pupils are asked to label parts of body of the bee.
PRESENTATION
3. Teacher scaffold pupils by putting up stanza 1 on the board.
4. Pupils are asked question to fill in the blanks.
1. Pupils complete the following stanza based on teacher’s dictation.
PRACTICE 2. Pupils are asked to pay attention the the pronunciation and spelling.
3. Pupils complete the worksheet within 10 minutes.
