3 ATTORNEY CANAVAN: Your Honor, the Commonwealth

4 calls its case against Shayla Pierce, Docket Number

5 2365-CR-2017.

6 Ms. Pierce is present, represented by

7 Mr. Traver.

8 Your Honor, this is graded as a simple assault.

9 Basically, what happened is, her daughter was a handful. She

10 was on the Internet with guns and drugs. They got in a verbal

11 altercation. The defendant kinda threw her hands -- or, I'm

12 sorry, the daughter kind of threw her hands up and said, "Get

13 away from me." And by Ms. Pierce's own admission, she cracked

14 her in the mouth.

15 Based on the facts of the case and the handful

16 that she was to Ms. Pierce, we've offered a summary harassment

17 and close the file.

18 THE COURT: As to harassment, how do you plead?

19 THE DEFENDANT: Guilty.

20 THE COURT: The case is closed.

21 ATTORNEY CANAVAN: Thank you, Your Honor.
