Program Director In the Bible we read about women that were the mother’s of some great men that made an
everlasting mark in history and left an awesome impression of the wonders of the Lord.
This was accomplished because of a mother’s concern and care for them. One was Sarah.
Serving It took a while, but when her faith was strengthen, she believed God and in her old age

However, Isaac interceded on her behalf to God. Then by faith she gave birth to Jacob
Since 1965 and he became the father of the sons that would represent the twelve tribes of Israel. Then
there was Moses’ mother, Samuel mother and Mary the mother of our Lord nurtured there
children to help become what God had planned for there life.

These are just a few of the more familiar mothers in the Bible that
made a difference in their children’s life. But without them we
would not have known the great men of the Bible that their sons

Mother’s Day A Childs Prayer

Is Every Day On Mothers Day
Every day should be
Mother’s Day! God in heaven, I thank Thee
She is special in every way. This day on bended knee
Remembering when For the wonderful mother
She helped me pray, Thou hast given me!
By my bed and what to say—
We talked to God— Her heart is kind and gentle….
Yes, this was my dear mother. Flowing with love and care;
Her touch is warm and loving,
Every day she was there for me, Her life a constant prayer.
“Are you hurt? O let me see”!
Always busy as a bee, How she often draws me
Living and loving for her family. Into her arms to read,
And on she plod— God‛s holy word, the Bible….
Yes, this was my dear mother. Words my heart should heed.

Some of the days as years went by, How often, too, I hear her
My goals (sometimes) made her sigh. Whisper my name in prayer!
Though, she did help me make my try— Never a childish problem
She was there, and never nigh— But she is always there.
Some times used the rod, God in heaven, I ask Thee,
Yes, she was my dear mother! Now while I bow to pray—
Every child needs mothers like her! In Thy great loving kindness
Always there fr’ us and father, Bless my mother today!
Filling the family with much cheer,
Our siblings knew she was near—
She walked with God,
Yes, she was my dear mother!

reaching back to express their thanks energizes the staff at the Mission. Although we have dedicated our lives to
helping those in need and thanks are not necessary we still like to hear it. It helps us keep thing in perspective by
keeping us thankful as well. All the glory belongs to God because we cannot do what we do without him putting it
on your hearts to support the Rescue Mission.

In the spirit of passing this gratefulness along we are sharing a card we received from a young woman who found
herself in a scary place and just needed a safe place to land. Thanks to you she found it!
