LEARNING STANDARD : 4.3.2 Able to perform with guidance based on: (a) jazz chants

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:
Perform jazz chant about ‘Food’ in groups with enjoyment.

i. PRE-LESSON : PRE-LESSON TASK 1: WORK OUT THE WORDS
ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Teacher interacts with pupils by asking WH-questions about the topic.
2. Teacher asks pupils to open their textbook and read the jazz chant together.
3. Teacher gives time for each group to discuss about their performance.
4. Pupils perform the jazz chant while doing action and gestures (clapping) in front of
the class.
5. Teacher guides the pupils if they do wrongly.

3.1.1 Identify and recognise the shapes of the letters in the alphabet

1) recognise at least 6 letters (ai), (ee), (igh), (oa) and (oo)correctly by listening and
colouring the correct phonemes.
2) sound out at least 4 phonemes /eɪ/, /i:/, /aɪ/, /әʊ/, /ʊ/ and /u:/ correctly.
