ABSTRACT

This study aimed to to make tea waste as a new alternative to handling waste lead with the
methods adsorption.

limbah perawatan.
Adsorption is a method of the most commonly used because simple, economical, and effective
for use in industry especially deep water and waste-water care.

limbah cair industri batik.
This research include steady the determination of pH, time contact, and a mass adsorbent in
water waste synthetic. In addition done application adsorbent tea waste in liquid waste from
batik industries.

Waste water used are waste water synthetic by concentration of the early 100 mg/l. the
results of adsorption metal ions lead measured by SSA. Data adsorption obtained processed
in statistics by test Anova One-way.

limbah cair batik kapasitas adsorpsinya sebesar 53,90%. Adsorpsi dengan ampas teh
mendekati model isoterm adsorpsi Freundlich dengan nilai korelasi 87,18% (R2 = 0,8718).
The steady produced namely ph 5 , time contact 90 minutes, and a mass adsorbent 1 g.
Largest efficiency is as much as 88,54 % on waste synthetic. On the application in a waste
liquid batik has efficiency 53,90 %. Adsorption with tea waste approaching model isoterm
adsorption Freundlich with correlation value 87,18 % (R2 = 0,8718).
This research aimed to understand the ability an allowance ions lead (II) using tea wasted and to know model
isoterm adsorpstion. The research was done by experiment in a batch. Parameter subjects covering variation of
pH, time contact, and a mass adsorbent. Variation ph used 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Variation time contact is 30, 60,
90, 120, 150, and 180 minutes. Variation mass adsorbent is 0.1; 0.2; 0.25; 0.5; 1 and 1.25 g. Condition steady
chosen then appllied to liquid waste from batik industries. The steady of pH 5 had efficiency 82,82%. Time
contact steady is 90 minutes with efficiency 86,64%. Mass adsorbent steady is 1 g with efficiency 88,54%. An
allowance ions lead (II) in liquid waste from batik industries obtained efficiency of 53,9 %. Adsorption with lees
tea approaching model isoterm adsorption Freundlich with correlation value 87,18% (R2 = 0,8718).
