Este artículo propone un método para diagnosticar fallas en válvulas de compresor reciprocantes
que usan la señal de emisión acústica acoplada con el movimiento simulado de la válvula. Las
condiciones de trabajo reales de una válvula pueden obtenerse analizando la señal de emisión
acústica en el dominio del ángulo del cigüeñal y el movimiento de la válvula puede predecirse
simulando el movimiento de la válvula. Las ubicaciones exactas de apertura y cierre de una
válvula normal, proporcionadas por el movimiento simulado de la válvula, se pueden usar como
referencias para el diagnóstico de fallas de la válvula. Las fallas de válvula típicas se
diagnostican para validar la viabilidad y precisión del método propuesto. Los resultados
experimentales indican que este método puede distinguir fácilmente la válvula normal, el aleteo
de la válvula y las condiciones de cierre retardado de la válvula. Las ubicaciones características
de la apertura y el cierre de las válvulas de succión y descarga pueden identificarse claramente
en la forma de onda de la señal de emisión acústica y el movimiento simulado de la válvula.
