a. For the following sequences, find:


i) N-point DFT of x(n) = cos 21tKon ii) 5-point DFT of x(n) = {1, 1, 1}

a. State and prove circular frequency shift property of DFT. (04 Marks)
b. Compute the circular convolution of the sequences Xl (n) = {2, 1, 2, 1) and
x2(n) = {1, 2, 3, 4) using DFT and IDFT method. (08 Marks)

a. Develop Radix-2 N-point DIT-FFT algorithm and draw the signal flow graph. (12 Marks)
b. Obtain 8-point DFT of the sequence, x(n) = {2, 1,2, 1, 0, 0, 0, O}. Using Radix-2 DIF-FFT
algorithm. Show clearly all the intermediate results. (08 Marks)

energy of the N-point sequence using DFT method. What is this relation known as?

7 a. Derive the transfer function of a normalized Butterworth filter of order N = 3 and N = 4.

b. Design a digital filter H(Z) that when used in an AID - H(Z) - D/A structure gives an
equivalent analog filter with the following specifications:
Passband ripple s 3.01 dB
Passband edge = 500 Hz
Stopband attenuation ~ 15 dB
Stopband edge = 750 Hz
Sampling rate = 2 kHz.
The filter is to be designed by performing a bilinear transformation on an analog system
function. Use Butterworth prototype. (10 Marks)

8 a. Realize the linear phase FIR filter having the following impulse response
