challenges in different national healthcare settings.

public interest in natural therapies both in developing and developed countries,
with these herbal remedies being available not only in drug stores, but now also in
food stores and supermarkets. It is estimated that up to four billion people
(representing approximately 60% of the world’s population) living in the developing

Main Research Question-2

Do families still use home remedies as medicines and beauty

products?

Yes, families still use home remedies as medicines and beauty products. In fact,
herbal home remedies are quite extensively used in India as well as other countries.

Many families also grow herbs at home. Growing your own herbs preserves the
purity of the herbal preparation thereby preserving its organicity and avoiding
preservative usage. This further helps families maintain the secrecy of their
remedies and carries on the tradition in ongoing generations.

Also, when the families prepare herbal remedies at home, they know the
ingredients used in that remedy. This helps them to know the organic and hygienic
level of that remedy. This can be helpful if any family member suffers from any
allergies.
