7 Cast body ASTM A216WCB

The Yarway single stage control valve is specifically developed for use with Yarway
Desuperheaters requiring an external control valve. This is available in a single size body with
a wide variety of end connections. The unit can be equipped with either plug type or cage type
internals.
These internals can be supplied with linear or equal percentage characteristics. See table 1.
Trim design facilitates a wide range of flows resulting in high turndown of the installed valve.
Material selection of these components is based on their application in hot water environment.
Tungsten containing components are not used which makes the valve suitable for applications
with all types of water treatment.
The valve’s pressure retaining parts are manufactured from certified materials and meet the
requirement of ASME B16.34 as well as EN 12516. Where required, PED certification to Category I
- Fluid Group 2 is available. See nameplate details figure 2.
The single stage control valve is installed as a water flow regulation valve governed by a
temperature control loop. See figure 3.

CFD analyses Trim style

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to calculate the flow through the trim of the valve.
It determines locations of high velocity and high flow, and assists in trim engineering for specific
applications where velocities need to be controlled. CFD is also used to determine the flow
coefficient Kv (Cv) of the Yarway single stage control valve and aids in designing them to custom
specifications.
