Dear Enthusiast,

On behalf of the Society, may I extend a cordial invitation to you to submit an entry in one or more of the Scheduled
List of Classes (see overleaf). As in previous years a professional security guard will be mounted throughout the event.

The Event is authorised by the National Traction Engine Trust and will be subject to their Code of Practice.

Due to the popularity of the event, it has become necessary to restrict the size of the classes. Selection of
exhibits will be carried out on a first come basis and if classes are over-subscribed, a selection committee will ensure
the greatest variety of exhibits.

Expenses are as itemised overleaf on the Scheduled List of Classes and will only be paid to exhibitors appearing on both days
of the Event and whose exhibits are catalogued; the expenses and commemorative memento will be available after 17.00hrs
on Sunday. Please ensure that you select the appropriate class.

Exhibits not appearing on both days of the event and not on display from 10.00hrs until '17.00 hours will be excluded
from next years event. All exhibits in classes marked * overleaf are to parade in the arena with the exhibitor dressed in the
aporopriate costume for the exhibit.

A panel of judges will make an assessment of the exhibits f rom 1 0.00hrs on Saturday and awards and trophies will be presented
to the most meritorious entries.

CAMPING:- lf any exhibitor wishes to have visitors camping with them on the exhibitors camp site they must apply, in writing,
at the time of making their entries for their guest passes etc. This is the only time that consideration will be given to visitors
accompanying exhibitors on the camping site.
The cost for visitors will be t25.00 per unit and their admission charges are t28.00 per adult and t24.00 concessionary children
are free (under 15 years of age) for the full weekend.
Because of lnsurance restrictions no exhibitors or visitors are permitted to camp on the rally field or campsite until noon on
Thursday 26th July. Please ensure you make alternative arrangements if you were proposing to arrive before 26th July.

The Organisers reserves the right to reclassify the entry forms and also to return unacceptable entries together with the
reason for rejection.

Please return the completed entry form as soon as possible to aid the processing of the forms.

Current and proposed legislation means that in some areas changes have had to be made and all exhibitors are encouraged
to familiarise themselves any changes relevant to themselves and their exhibits. (i.e. Road Traffic Act, Electricity at Work
Regulations, Driving Licenses, lnsurances, Vehicle Licenses, Tiowing Regulations etc.)

IMPORTANT NOTICE - In the interest of safety, the riding of motorcycles, tractors or any other mechanically or
electrically propelled machine by under-aged, unlicenced or uninsured persons will not be tolerated at any time on the event site.

Any under-aged or uninsured driver/rider, together with their accompanying responsible party, will, without question or
exception, be excluded from the event.

Cycling by any person, other than identified stewards is prohibited-

YOUNG TRACTOR DRIVER TRAINING COURSE
The Society in conjunction with John Jones Training invite applications for the unique opportunity for 13 - 16 year olds to participate in a two day
training course which will be held at Cark Airfield, Flookburgh on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th July. Any persons interested in joining this subsidised
training course should contact David Foster on 07825 369601 . The course is limited to 8 participants and is available on a first come basis.

 DECLARATIONS:

A. Steam Vehicles

I declare that if my exhibit is authorised for use on the public highway, that during the period of the event, when the general
public have access, my exhibit will be covered by the minimum insurance requirement as required by the Road Traffic Act,
irrespective of whether my exhibit is licensed or not. lf my exhibit is not authorised for use on the public highway it will be
covered by a Public Liability Policy and by a Boiler Explosion Policy, both policies having a limit of indemnity of not less than
t2,000,000 in any one accident and sparks and ashes coverfor not less than t100,000.00
I further declare that the boiler of any steam plant carries a Boiler lnspection Certificate and I will produce documentary
evidence of such insurance and inspection to you before participating in the event. I further declare that the driver/s hold a
driving licence of the appropriate class and will produce, if required, such licence.

Note:- All drivers of steam vehicles will be required to be capable operators.

All steam entries are to be in steam by 09.00 hours on both days of the event, to take part in the planned displays and activities.

B. Allother Exhibits

I declare that during the period of the event, when the general public have access, my exhibit if authorised for use on the public
highway will be covered by the minimum insurance requirement as required by the Road Traffic Act irrespective of whether
it is licensed or not. lf my exhibit is not authorised for use on the public highway it will be covered by a Public Liability Policy
having a limit of indemnity of not less than t2,000,000 in any one accident. I furlher declare that the driver/rider of any exhibit
authorised for use on the public highway holds a driving licence of the appropriate class for the exhibit.
I have included a copy of my insurance cover, if this is due to expire before the event, I understand that I may be asked to
provide proof of valid cover at some time during the course of the rally'

C. All Exhibitors

I agree to produce, on request, an lnspection Certificate in accordance with the IEE Regulations for any electrical equipment
(ie generators, wiring, appliances).

Iagree to abide by the Rally Organisers Code of Practice of the National Traction Engine Trust and The Society's written
Statement of Safety Policy - copies of which are available for inspection in the Rally office.

I agreeto operate my exhibit during the event and comply with the instructions of Stewards. ln the event of a dispute the
Event Organisers decision is final.
