Nursery force in hospital is one of the most important and strategic human
resources because nurses are directly engaged in providing services and
treatments to patients. A nurse will work better and motivated to be productive as
satisfaction in work is met so that he/she is able to dedicate the best service or
treatment to all patients treated by him/her. A nurse can show his/her capability
well through the application of role based on respective job and responsibility.
Nursery force in running duties has role as health service provider, educator,
manager, counselor, advocator, and researcher. However, we have not
indentified yet wether there is a relationship or nursery roles towards work
satisfaction of nurses in the RSU Sawerigading Palopo.
The design of research used in this research is in the form of descriptive-
analitical quality with Cross Sectional method wherein the researcher conducts
the variable measurement at the some time that has purpose to find the real
description about the relationship of nursery roles towards work satisfaction of
nurses in the RSU Sawerigading Palopo, by using Chi-Square statistical test
(Continuity Correction) with meaningful purpose grade α < 0,05.
After conducting research, we found a result that the roles of the provider
is, the educator is, and the advocator is showing a valve means the roles having
relationship to the work satisfaction of nurses. But the roles of the manager is,
the counselor is, the researcher is showing a valve means the roles having no
relationship to the work satisfaction of nurses. From the result of multivariate
analysis with statistical test of Logistic regession, we obtain a result that the
provider’s role is the best in meeting satisfaction of the nurses in the RSU
Sawerigading Palopo.
