Le chal is smart shoes created by a researcher named Anirudh from

India. Le chal is smart shoes capable of guiding the blind persons

to where they want with a vibration indicator on the shoes, both of
vibration the front, rear and both sides of the shoes. In the
development cycle, these shoes are not only useful for people with
visual impairment, but can also be used by ordinary people. A case
in point is the jogger, mountain bikers, or tourists who often roam
new places. This smart shoes gives them the freedom to not see their
smartphones to reach the goal. For sport this smart shoes can also
be used as a more accurate way to measure how the distance traveled
and calories used.

When the front of the shoes vibrate, then the user is required to
walk straight, and then when the side of the shoes vibrate , then
the user is required to to turn right or left and so on. Long
vibration also depends on the distance the user to place or location
of the destination. When the user starts to move, the vibrations are
usually not too pronounced, but if it starts to get close to the
destination, the vibration will be perceived by users.

This shoe also comes with a proximity sensor located in the front of
the shoe and serves to warn the user if there are obstacles along
the way. This sophisticated sensors capable of detecting up to a
distance of 3 meters.

How it works or how to wear this shoe is with a mobile phone that is
equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning System). After the user sets
the destination location on a cell phone, Lilypad Arduino circuit
board located in the heel of the shoe and mobile phones will
communicate with each other or connected via a Bluetooth connection.
Then, the user will be guided to arrive at the destination with
movement indicator.
