About PIChE Tacloban

PICHE – Tacloban was first established on March 20, 1988 under the administration of Eng. Aguido Basas (president) and
has been passed over and over through time to sixteen (16) presidents namely Engrs. Rosario Olivia (’89 – ’90), Danilo
Perez (’90 – ’93), Nida B. Verana, (’91 – ’92), Bonifacio Hernandez (’93 – 94), Nida B. Lacaba (’94 – ’96), Margaret P.
Macopia (’96 – 97), Flordelyn T. Palejaro (’97 – ’98), Rene Canas (’98 – ’99), Lilia B. Delmo (’99 – ’04), Nida B. Catubao (’04 –
’08), Asuncion Raquel T. Pascua (’08 – ’09), Elvira Dolores M. Urgel (’09 – ’10), Alejandro A. Silagan (’10 – ’12), Bernalina V.
Leonor (’12 – ’13), Jeannie G. Castillote (’13 – ’14), and recently, Juvyneil E. Cartel (’14 – ’17).

PIChE – Tacloban continues support its members holistic development through seminars/trainings/conventions for
Continuing Professional Development (CPD), community services, environmental advocacies such as tree-planting and
Adopt – a Estero Program, among others.
