advertising. I have chosen to do a fashion
advert as it is something that I have a
passion for and I wanted to produce an
advert that was a good way to show how a
trainer brand that is normally worn by
younger people can appeal to all ages.
Another reason why I chose to make a
trainer advert is because in our previous
project I made three advert actual clothing
so this time I wanted to try something
different and make a trainer advert. I did this
so I could get a wide understand of fashion
advertising as a whole.
I did a lot of work outside of lesson as in the
second last project we did I missed the
deadline so since then I have been doing a
lot of in my own time to make sure that I can
stay up to date and not fall behind. I feel
that I could have done my filming soon if I
had do more of the research in my own time
as I fell behind a bit then so I did a lot of work
in my own time on LO2 so that I could catch
up.
When planning for this production the main
problem I faced was think of a way that I
could implement a verity of different ages so
the production could appeal to my target
audience. To overcome this I look at my
research for inspiration on how to make the
production and what I need to put into it.
The next problem I had when planning was
finding a song that was appropriate for all
age which means it can’t have swearing or
other inappropriate lyrics.
To be honest I think that the editing and
filming process was one of the easiest things
about this unit as because my planning was
good I think it really helped me to produce a
pieces of work that I can be happy with
even though it’s not an amazing professional
pieces of work I still think that its one of my
better productions that I have done in this
course.

Were you able to show your production to the
intended target audience (peers and
teachers aside)
What did they have to say about your
production?
How do you feel your product compares to
existing professional products that reach all
targeted audiences?
I think that I could have done more to meet
the requirements of the target audience as I
think that I should I used a few older models
to feature in the extended edit as the short
advert was to appeal to the younger
audience. I think that I should have replaced
myself as a model with some in their 50-60
doing this I think that I could have met the
target audience more. Apart from that I
think that every other aspect of my
production meant the wants and need of
my target audience.
The response I got form my teachers was
definitely more positive the it was negative
with them saying things like it has good
element along with the good choose in
music and narrative which is was I was really
aiming to implement into the production but
to make it appeal to a wider age range I
would need to show more uses of the shoes
E.G people running in them and doing other
day to day activity’s. My peer said that they
really liked the advert. The most common
things they said is that they really like the
cinematic shots I did of the shoes as it clearly
showed what it was that was being sold.
When I showed my family and friends they all
said they really like the production it that
after watching it that they would go out and
get a pair of the shoes. The said improve it
that I should have used a different age
group of models as it would have made the
advert stand out more to the older viewers
of the advert.
I feel that my production is quite professional
as it look like it could be aired on TV and
other social networking websites. In my
propel I said that I wanted to air my
production on TV and social media as
though my research I knew that these where
the most viewed platforms. Obviously there
are some things that I could have done to
make the production better as it isn’t
perfect, I think that one of the things I would
do would be to find a way to show multiple
people of different ages to walk around the
same house in the shoes. I feel that if I had
done this then then I would have reached
my target audience even more.
What area are you looking to improve on in
your next production?
In my next production I will be wanting
improve on using different models as in my
lest two productions I have used the same
exact people which isn’t as professional as I
want my final major project to be as in the
last project I want it to be my best
production yet and to be something that im
really proud of. The next thing that I want to
change in my next production is the use of
different camera angles for example im
planning on having a lot of movement in my
last production so I will try and get some
shots from above and below.
