9:00am - Arrival at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
3rd Grade Classes 9:15am -1:00pm Small group rotations, boat ride, & lunch
USC, Temple, PITT, & ECU 1:00pm - Depart Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
1:30pm - Arrival at MSE@B
The purpose of the trip is to enhance student achievement and provide experiences in our world outside of
school. The time away from campus has been carefully planned to maximize the effectiveness of the trip.

 Students will re-live history at Magnolia plantation, which was established in 1676 and has
experienced events such as early colonization, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and Reconstruction in
South Carolina.
 Students will ask and answer questions about information from a speaker, offering appropriate
elaboration and detail on a topic.

Expectations for student behavior on the field trip are the same as for the classroom and school. The school
reserves the right to exclude students from field trips based on behavior. If your child cannot participate,
alternative educational activities will be provided at school during the field trip.
 Student transportation is provided through School Wheels Direct.
 As always, please wear your Meeting Street Elementary @Brentwood uniform, socks, and sneakers.
