Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) or Toyota is a Japanese multinational organization and is the

world's largest car manufacturer. Toyota brand car sales have sold 7.5 million models each year
on all five continents. At present, it has reached 70,000 users. Like many other companies, it has
recorded its own history, Toyota has been set up by a unique set of values and principles has been
rooted for many years since the establishment of its company in Japan.

Toyota brand supply chain processes and strategies are fundamental to


their day to day operations. By following the production of Just-In-Time
(JIT) and Toyota Production System (TPS). Toyota has emerged as one
of the largest automaker in the world.

The globalization strategy adopted by one of the world's major carmakers is Japan based Toyota
Motor Corporation (Toyota). It also looks at the evolution of the company, being the number one
Japanese manufacturer to a great competitor in the global car market by 2003. It is rationally
looking behind the results and achievements of Toyota to pay attention to global expansion and

creating a harmonious society and a clean world.

Sakichi Toyota (Sakichi) Japan which has various traditional family business from carpentry to
handloom machinery in 1897. Toyota Automatic Loom Works (TALW) was established in 1926
to produce automatic looms. Sakichi has created a loom tool that stops automatically when any
threads are disconnected. This concept has been the design of equipment to stop until the defect
can be repaired immediately forming the basis of Toyota's production system (TPS) and then
becomes a major factor in the success of the company continues to grow.

In 1933, Sakichi established a car department in TALW and protested the first passenger car
developed in 1935. The Toyota brand was founded in 1937. Kiichiro Toyoda has been studying
the US automotive industry during a visit to Ford. In Japan, he adapts to Ford's production

Toyota's management philosophy has grown and developed from the origins of the company and
has been described by the terms "Lean Manufacturing" and Just In Time Production, which are
important in industrial development.

Toyota has four components:


i. Long term thinking and success as the basis for management decisions.
ii. A process for problem solving.
iii. Add value to an organization by developing its people.
iv. Recognizing that solving root problems continuously encourages advanced organizational
learning
