PARO Grant for the 12th Pan American Regional

Symposium in Trujillo, Peru

Introduction & Deadline for Submission
This year, the IPSF Pan American Regional Office would like to provide the opportunity for one
(1) individual from a member organization or one (1) Individual Member within the Pan
American region to attend the 12th IPSF Pan American Regional Symposium in Trujillo, Peru. One
(1) winner will be selected by the PARO Regional Working Group 2017-18 to receive the grant in
the form of reimbursement for the Pan American Regional Symposium registration fee (round
1).
The deadline for submission is March 10, 2018 at 23:59:59 (11:59:59 p.m.) GMT+1 (The Hague,
Netherlands time). No late submissions will be accepted.
Candidacies can be submitted in English or in Spanish. The grant winner will be announced by
March 24, 2018.

Criteria for Grant Winner

Applications will be scored using the following criteria:
 Economic country classification according to the World Bank documents;
 Thorough understanding of IPSF, its activities, and of the Pan American Regional
Symposium;
 First participation in the Pan American Regional Symposium and IPSF events;
 Experience relevant to IPSF's aims, values, and objectives;
 Clear demonstration of motivation to attend the Pan American Regional Symposium;
 Respect of application form requirements.
The winner will be eligible to receive the grant if he or she:
 Is an active member of a member organization or an Individual Member of the IPSF Pan
American Regional Office and submits an appropriate confirmation letter supporting his
or her membership;
 Completes the application form and sends their curriculum vitae (CV), confirmation letter
from CP or Internal Relations, and motivation video in the appropriate format and by the
aforementioned deadline;
 Signs an agreement that they will be available to fully attend the Pan American Regional
Symposium;
 Successfully registers to attend the Pan American Regional Symposium during the first
round of registration by submitting payment within the appropriate timeframe;
 Submits an article of at least 250 words with photos for an upcoming edition of the IPSF
PARO Newsletter regarding his or her experience at the Pan American Regional
Symposium within one (1) month following the end of the Pan American Regional
Symposium;
  Does not benefit from any other IPSF travel grant to attend the Pan American Regional
Symposium;
 Complies to submitting any other documentation as proof of payment and/or attendance
as requested by the IPSF Team.
