SOVIET EDUCATION:

The purpose of the Soviet society was to create new generation of people.Education
does not mean only about self-interest & career making what we find in capitalist
educational business.According to Soviet educators- honesty, labor, respect for
fellow beings, attitude of self-gratitude in protecting the motherland - no one is
born with these qualities. It can be achieved only through right education. Before
the revolution, many scientists wanted to prove that every children is not able to
master their education, even in the primary school curriculum. In 30's, Soviet Union
in their universal education Initiation experience, the Sovietscientists have
proved that earlier concept of education was completely wrong by presenting new
soviet education book In Context of Raising Kids by V. N Stoletov. They have shown
that, except for some exceptions, humans are usually talented and all human beings
have some proficiency in any form. The duty of School and family is to discover and
develop that talent.
Compulsory school education
Children had to go to the higher schooling at the end of the kindergarten. For eight
to fifteen years, there is a compulsory secondary school education. After fifteen
years of school life, the interested students could take higher education for two
more years.Lenin said about upcoming school education after the revolution, "We do
not believe in that kind of education or training which are detained only within
the boundaries of the school, separated from the storms of life ... the youth
should get the basic form ofknowledge from our school, the ability to independently
develop socialist ideology, and Being able to grow as an truly educated man."For
building future youths, Lenin said, 'the future society is impossible to imagine
without the inseparable union of productive labor with the education of the youth'.
Pre-school education was going on for 8 years. They were managed by nursery schools
in form childcare. The number of children admitted in these institutions was 8 lakhs
in 1928, it increased to 15 in 1933 and in 1940 it increased to 35 lakhs.Along with
the advancement of Soviet education, fundamental knowledge was introduced in
subjects like science, mathematics, and even linguistics for pre-school
children.Such educations programs are not burdened the child's memory rather
develop their mind power and ability of thought process.
Man Making Process - that is a multi-pronged process. Two aspects of this process
are very important, to create feelings and heart and to develop intelligence. And
the essential quality of the most developed people is to create labor force. But
this workmanship or human morality cannot be created by the advices. This is done
through a scientific method and partnering with student, teachers, parents, school
environment & state aswell. So the Soviet education system was fully involved with
politics, with the economy and with the present time.Education means art, science,
politics, economy, language, work, play, moral character, and behavior building. As
Rabindranath said, "The study of diamond is an education and the reflection of
shining light of stone is the culture created out of education".This wonderful
match of education and culture was done there.
In paragraph of 121 in the Soviet Constitution, it has been stated that "the rights
of the USSR citizens' education will be protected at any cost. This right will be
ensured by universal, compulsory, modern education. With unpaid high education; the
statestipends will be provided to numerous students of higher education
institutions. School education will be conducted through local mother tongue.
Provision of scientific, technical and agricultural training for the laborers or
workers working in state farms, tractor stations and collective farms will be
ensured through unpaid& free educational institution
