MONTHS MANIA! 2
Qays is very excited! He is trying to figure out the Islamic months in
order. Let’s see if you can name the order of the Islamic months written
down below by using the clues given to you. 3

4
• Muharram is in the same position in the Islamic
calendar as January is in the Gregorian calendar. 5
• Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic calendar.
6
• Dhul-Hijjah is the 3rd month after Ramadan, and
comes after the other month beginning with ‘Dhul 7
Qa’dah

• Safar is the month between Muharram and Rabi-al- 8

Awal.
9
• The Prophet (S) mentioned the months in order when
he said: O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Sha’ban, and let
10
us reach Ramadhan.

• Eid Al-Fitr is in the month on Shawwal. 11

• Jamadul Awal and JamadulThani come after each

12
other and both of them come after Rabi’-Ul-Thani.
