THE STAPE OF SPACIMENT COLLECTION

Inclusion Criteria
a. Antepartum and intrapartum pregnant women (without considering HBsAg’s
status of the mother)
b. It will be easier if the HBsAg positive status of the pregnant women has been
known but not included as the prerequisite
c. The baby that born from the mother who is the subject of the research

Exclusion Criteria
a. antiviral consumption last then six months
b. the history of getting interferon therapy
c. co-infection with HIV and or HCV (exclusion will be implemented after the screening
that had been done in the laboratory in Makassar
d. the baby die before the study had been finished (Age last then 9 months)

ANTEPARTUM AND INTRAPARTUM PREGNANT WOMEN

1. Make sure that the mother has been
understood and signed the informed consent
2. Fill the form and stick the label based on the
patient code (the same number with the other
sample, see the lableling procedure)
3. Sample collection of venous blood from the
antepartum and intrapartum pregnant
women is taken as much as 10 ml at the
elbow fold (see the venous blood collection
procedure)

Cord blood
4. After delivery of the baby we clip and cut the
umbilical cord as usual then 10 ml of cord
blood sample will be taken before placenta
delivery on the umbilical cord of the mother
side (see the procedure of cord blood
collection)

Placenta
5. Placenta tissue sample collection (2x2cm)
on the medial placenta that taken after
delvery of placenta.
6. The baby that born will be observed for one
month

One Month Old Baby

7. The collection of the baby’s blood less than
one month old as much as 3 ml.
8. The baby will be observed at 9 months old
baby.

Nine Months Old Baby

9. The collection of the baby’s blood less than
nine months old as much as 3 ml.
