NEOFIN CSN (Cationic fatliquor)

Chemical Nature : Weakly cationic fatliquor

Appearance : Creamy white paste

Active matter : 30±1%

pH (1:10 solution) : 3.0-4.0

Soluble : Readily soluble in cold and warm water

Storage & Stability : It has a shelf life of 12 months if it is stored in its original packing at
°
temperatures of less than 40 C. Containers should be tightly closed each
time after taking the material for use. And their content should be used as
soon as possible after the container is opened.

Characteristics: NEOFIN CSN is stable to acids, neutral salts and basic chrome complexes used in
°
leather processing. It is advisable to mix the product with an equal quantity of water at 60 C to form a
uniform dispersion which may be diluted further prior to application.

NEOFIN CSN helps to achieve a more uniform distribution of chrome in tanning. As a top fatliquor,
NEOFIN CSN imparts a smooth way and pleasant handle. Multi-charged fatliquoring systems may be
prepared by combining certain anionic fatliquors with NEOFIN CSN to obtain waxy handle and more
intense dyeing.

Application Examples:

1. Prefatliquoring in chrome leather

(Percentages are based on shaved weight)

100% Water

4% Basic Chromium sulphate 2 hrs.

Add 0.5 - 2% NEOFIN CSN 30 min.

Basify as usual.

2. Retanned leather

(Percentages are based on shaved weight)

100% Water

3% POLYEOL CMP

3% POLYEOL ASF

3% POLYEOL HLN 45 min.

Add 0.5% Formic acid (1:10) 15 min.

Add 0.5 - 1.5% NEOFIN CSN 20 min.
