MEETING IN SAATUT

 MONDAY
On Monday our visitors
arrived in snowmobiles
and they were cold! They
met their correspondents
and then they went home
with them. After dinner
we went out with them
and showed them Saattut.
On Tuesday we welcomed them at school, and then we started preparing the fishing lines so we could go out and fish.
When we were done we went to the sea ice to put the fishing lines into the sea.

After we put the fishing lines into the sea we went back to the
school and ate lunch.
That day we also
presented our
work.
 And then
we went
back and
cleaned
the fish
On Wednesday we that we
went back to pull had
up the fishing caught.
Then our guests visited
the fish factory and the
water factory…

In the evening there

were activities for
students who were
working with NIOS at
school.
 On Thursday we went to the
highest place in Saattut called
Ammaap Qaqqaa, and ate buns.

That day our guests also tried to drive

dog sledge with their correspondents
fathers.
 On Friday we had lessons at school where
we should write about how the week had
been and what we had been doing. We also
played a game where we should speak
English.
That day we also had dinner at school (Ggreenlandic
evening) where we also danced and had a lot of fun.
ON SATURDAY WE WENT TO SCHOOL AND WATCHED NTIONAL DOG SLEDGE RACE,
WHERE A MAN FROM SAATTUT WON. AFTER WE HAD SEEN THE RACE WE ATE
FOOD SOME OF US HAD COOKED.
ON SUNDAY WE WENT OUT
FOR A WALK ACROSS
SAATTUT AND WENT BACK
HOME ON THE ICE, AND THE
REST OF THE DAY WE HAD
 Monday – the last day in Saattut

We went to school to
wait f or the helicopter
to come. While we were
waiting at the helistop
we got told that the
helicopter was one hour
late so we went back to
school and ate. An hour
later we went to the
helistop again and this
time we had to say
