The club will run from March 6th to May 22st. There is a materials fee of
$60.00 for art club. 3-5th graders will be able to pick up “interest flyers”
to bring home from the art room. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY WITH
THESE FORMS! Students will be able to turn their “interest forms” in
until February 19th. The week of the 19th, a lottery-type drawing will be
held. Eight students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be drawn to
participate in Spring Junior Masters and these students will be notified
with a letter the week of February 19th. Classroom teachers will also
receive a roster of those who will be in art club.
Please fill out the bottom portion of the sheet and return to Mrs. Brown
by February 19th if your child is interested in art club. Also, let me know if
you have any questions!
Where you went to college: University of North Carolina at Charlotte (class of ‘84)
Why did you become a teacher? It has always felt like that was what I was supposed to be.
City you want to visit the most: London, England - Actually to go back there, I visited in 1989
Most rewarding part of being a teacher: I once had a student in 5th grade who had never
passed the EOG in Reading. She passed it that year with me, and the look on her face when I
told her the good news, there is nothing like it!
Silliest fact about you: I have four kids, and I never get their names right!
