When comparing with as .. as, the adjective does not change. When comparing with
than, however, some changes are necessary, depending on the number of syllables
the adjective has:
Cuando comparamos con “as…as” el adjetivo no cambia, Pero cuando
comparamos con “than” algunos cambios son necesarios, dependiendo de
cuantas silabas tiene el adjetivo.
Adjectives with 3 or more syllables: use more with the unchanged adjective
Adjetivos con 3 o mas silabas: usamos “more” y no cambiamos el adjetivo
Note: If the word ends: consonant-vowel-consonant, then the last consonant is usually
doubled in the superlative. Examples: big-biggest, fat-fattest, hot-hottest.
Nota: si la palabra termina de la siguiente manera consonante-vocal-consonante,
la ultima consonante se duplica en el superlativo por ejemplo: big-biggest, fat-
fattest, hot-hottest.
